Crayfish cocktail with horseradish cream


The classic prawn cocktail along with crayfish tails, tangy horseradish and creamy avocado is an amazing twist to your delicious dinner party starter.

  • 1 tbsp crème fraîche
  • ½ tsp creamed horseradish sauce
  • juice 1 lime
  • 1 chicory head
  • 1 avocado
  • 140g pack crayfish tails, see tip below left
  • cayenne pepper, to serve


  • Mix the horseradish sauche with creme fraîche and half of the lime juice to make the horseradish cream. Keep the sauce covered.
  • Put one chicory leaf each in two glass serving dishes. The rest of the chicory leaf needs to be shredded and divided between the dishes. Take the avocado – slice it realy thin after you stone and pee it. Put in the lime juice left on the shredded chicory leaf. On top will lie crayfish tails.
  • Now add the horseradish cream and serve it with a sprinkle of cayenne pepper.
